Every hour and every minute of volunteering for Strathcarron Hospice is hugely valued and is very helpful directly or indirectly, to the people needing our care. Strathcarron Hospice joins the UK’s biggest celebration recognising the contribution of the 22 million people who volunteer in our communities.
Their work is invaluable, and without them we simply wouldn’t be able to provide the help it does for patients and their families. Our volunteers play a part in every aspect of life; they offer support, kindness, care and even raise money. They can be a friendly face helping in our shops, working on a reception or a driver for our patients to day care.
Many of our volunteers learn new skills, widen their social circle and have an amazing experience knowing that every minute of their time counts. In addition to the benefits of volunteer’s to society, many volunteers say it makes them feel better – physically, mentally and emotionally and volunteering helps them feel more informed and engaged, building a deeper connection to their communities.
Right now we are specifically looking for volunteers for our new retail warehouse in Falkirk and so if you could help us sort and distribute nearly new donated stock this would make a wonderful contribution to boost our income and provide the funding we desperately need for Strathcarron Hospice. To find out more about our current volunteering opportunities then please contact Mandy Ross on 01324 826222 or by email: volunteering@strathcarronhospice.net
Together we can make a difference for the thousands of people who depend on our services day of the year.
