The workshop will be an introduction to this complementary therapy and a taster of how this energy therapy could help patients and their families and indeed help ourselves to recognise the sanctity and sense of connection within the holistic nature of being.
The popularity of Therapeutic Touch within the nursing profession has encouraged research in this area and there are now more studies reported on this therapy than other energy therapies, e.g. Reiki, Healing Touch.
Annie Hallett has a background in Nursing, Counselling, Complementary Therapies and Healing. She has been practising the healing therapy of Therapeu-tic Touch in a professional capacity for many years working with cancer and pallia-tive care patients and their loved ones. Annie’s recent publication ‘A Far Reaching Thing’ is a collection of case studies and theory illustrating what the therapy is capable of when practised as an adjunct to traditional medicine.
